Question

No audio on selected clips

While going through my footage and selecting clips to drag into a bin for later editing something weird happened and the clips were dragged as video only. I spotted the problem after a while and now I want to know if there's a way to tell those clips to use their audio? It seems like a simple issue to fix but I can't find a way to do it.

Thanks

For adding the audio.

First turn off LInked Selection in the timeline (button next to the Snap button).

Select clip on timeline and hit F,

Source clip will open in Source monitor,

Assuming in and outpoint are the same as on the timeline,

Drag audio to timeline,

After all are done,

Turn on Linked Selection.

Hi andrewhuntermaine,

It seems like a source patching issue. Please check this article: FAQ: Why does audio or video not go to the track where I drop it?

Unfortunately it is not possible to add audio to the clips which are already added to the sequence. You have to manually replace the clips.

Thanks,

Vidya
