No audio sounds in source monitor

I have read other post about this problem and have tried the tips that were given. None of the tips did help me to solve this problem.

When I import video to the source monitor I can not hear the sounds. When I move them to my sequence and play it in the program monitor I hear the sounds.

Does anyone know whats causing this problem is?

I have checked my general settings. I dont use any third party programs.

I am having the same issue. When I play the clip in the source monitor, I see the meters indicating the sound is there but is not audible. Hardware config issue? I have checked setting but cannot figure it out...
