No Audio When Using Print to Tape

Hello, I have Premiere Pro CC 2018. When using Print to Tape, i'm not getting any audio coming into the deck. I have a Sony HDW-D1800. I believe this is a bug. I'm using a Decklink 4K 12G SDI capture and playout card. Thanks,

    Hi Jim,

Thanks again for your post. This issue has been documented here:

No Audio While Exporting to Tape (SDI)

He's having the same issue as I am. It's a bug. The bug is as follows: If you're on your timeline and hit Play, you get audio and video embedded into the SDI stream. The HDCAM deck receives the audio and video perfectly. However, if you try to LAYOFF to tape (Export -> Tape Serial Device), blah- the audio is gone. Def. a bug  Adobe engineers, anyone care to respond ????

I haven't used tape in years, but the first thing that comes to mind is to make sure your audio is set to go out via the Decklink.

    Hi Jim,

Yes I did that. Set everything to Decklink Playback in Premiere in the Audio settings. Anything else I should try?

    Thanks for your quick response.

    OK.

The only other idea I have is to not use Print to Tape.  Just hit Play in Premiere Pro and Record on the deck.
