No motion controls in source monitor

I can make lumetri adjustments for a clip in a multicam sequence by loading it into the source monitor. But I can't do the same with motion controls. Is there any way to apply motion controls for just one clip in a multicam sequence?

You may need to double click on the multicam sequence to access the individual clip and make your adjustments there.

That does call up the motion controls, but any changes made are applied to all the clips in the multicam sequence. Am I missing something?
