No Playback in Premiere Pro on Windows 10

Hi,
This is driving me nuts!
I've just been disconnected from an adviser after changing audio playback in a screen share on Adobe Portal, who wasn't able to solve this.

Spec:
AMD Ryzen 1600 6 Core 3.49 GHz

16GB RAM

Radeon Sapphire Pulse 2GB Graphics Card

3TB HDD + 512GB SSD

1 x 1080p Monitor

Presonus Audiofire USB Audio Interface
KRK Rokit 5 Speakers
(I also use Cubase Pro 9, which I have disabled the plugins for in Premiere Pro)

1. Premiere Pro won't playback video/audio.

2. I'm using standard DV formats.
2. Using the spacebar triggers the play arrow icon in the monitor to become a stop symbol, which can then no longer be changed back.
3. Rendering makes no difference.
4. Changing the General settings makes no difference.
5. The program becomes very fragile and starts crashing liberally whenever I try to change anything to solve it.

Please help! Thanks.

Matt

Two years later, but Ive been having the exact same issue and it had to do with the Audio Interface. Not that the audio interface was bad, but when my computer idled and then I went to resume working, it would not playback like you said. What I have been doing as a temporary fix is unplug the audio interface and plug it back in, while Premiere is open. Then for some reason it immediately started working again. GREAT bug on Adobe's end....The interface works perfectly in every other application. Hope to find a better solution than unplugging my stuff every time my computer idles or goes to sleep.

Try download my Premiere Pro BenchMark (PPBM), unzip it and run it, there are four test which test you hardware and its tuning and Submit the results
