No sound after save

I have the latest version of Premiere Pro CC and have an annoying issue when editing videos.  Basically once I save after an edit the sound drops off completely.  The audio file is still in the timeline and if I close Premiere and then delete the cache the audio is fine; so my options are at the moment

  1. Don't save until the end (really don't want to do this, or
  2. After every time I save close Premiere and delete the cache.

Anybody know what is causing this issue and have a fix?

This occurs if I use a video and a different audio source or a video with an audio source.

Is anybody able to help with this, finding really annoying not having sound after I make a change.  Really difficult to edit live music video without sound and is painful to have to close the application after every change...

Have you tried resetting your preferences? It is the usual first step when Premiere begins to act unexpectedly. Doing so will reset your preferences back to default settings.

Yep but does the exact same thing; don't always have to clear cache as sometimes I can just close and then re open.
