No video or audio in source monitor in Premiere Pro CC 13.0.1

HiI am brand new to Premiere Pro and trying to do exercises from the Lynda Premiere Pro essentials course. I am running Premiere Pro CC 13.0.1 on a late 2013 MacPro (3.5 GHz 6-Core Intel Xeon E5), with 64GB of RAM and AMD FirePro D500 3072 MB graphics card. My OS is Mojave 10.14.1.When I put clips into the source monitor from my bin, I see nothing in the source screen, and scrubbing produces no video or audio. The clips are listed in the drop down list in the source monitor, but nothing appears on screen regardless of what I load into the monitor window.I have tried also using other clips on my system (rather than just the Lynda exercise files) with the same (lack of) result.I saw a suggestion elsewhere to try installing an earlier version of Premiere Pro, so I have installed v12.1.2. When I run this version, the clips appear in the source window and everything appears to be working well. I made no other changes apart from switching to the older version.Does anyone have any ideas about why this may be happening with the 2019 version of Premiere Pro and what I could try in order to get the new version working?

Hi Aaron

I see you are on Mojave. Did you update your GPU drivers?

Try this as a first step.

2nd step would be to reset your preferences.

Heres how:

To reset preferences and plug-in cache at the same time, hold down Shift-Option (Mac OS) while the application is starting.
