No waveform after importing audio files

I've recorded audio externally for a video and need to match them but it's just a bit more difficult without having the waveform from the audio files. They aren't showing up in the source monitor or in the timeline. Any ideas? I've tried render and replace, and reimporting them but the same issue happens.

    After importing audio you need to wait for Premiere to make proper pek files.

    After that is done then you can edit.

    Rename topfolder audio is in and import again.
