I am 10 years old and teaching myself premier pro! I am trying to edit a film for a small competition i want to enter and have spent hours and hours trying to work out how to sort out my background that is not a full green screen. I really need help! I have watched so many youtube vidoes but none help. The old 2014 8point garbage matte would mean I could crop out any non-green screen but I can't find out how this is possible on the new addition 2017 cc premier pro version. Does anyone have an tips for me

    Hello Sebbie,

x-point matte is gone since 2015-version (I think), now you make a mask directly in your -> effect controls -> opacity.

Use a circle, square or that pencil tool to build a mask, move the edge point as needed.

Depending on how you set the mask, you have to invert it.

    Good luck!

Thank you so much for your quick reply. How would you crop out non-green screen areas? I tried your suggestion but don't know how to delete non green screen areas. Thanks so much again

With the mask you remove all non-green areas - for removing the greens use -> effects -> color key and -> Ultra key.
