Hi! For some reason I cannot anymore write any of these symbols inside Premiere text editor:
@ £ $ € { [ ] }

All of those are done by holding "Alt GR" button while typing a number.

This is a huge issue, do anyone know a solution for this? I cannot just copy paste it every time I need to use some of those in a video. I think it's some kind of bug in Premiere, because those symbols work just fine for example in this text field. $$$

it might help if you told us what version of premiere you were using and what platform (windows or mac).  Are you using the legacy text tool or the newer version?  Have you done any updates to the OS or Premiere or installed any new programs?

I am having the same issue. Working with Premiere Pro 2020. Doesn't work in the 2019 version neither.

Doesn't work for these symbols: | @ #  {  } etc. I am working on a AZERTY keyboard (Belgian French). It does work for other adobe app like After Effect 2020, Photoshop 2019. It only fails in Premiere. What can I do? Please help!

Try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
