Noob question

How do I make Pikachu go down the "hole" PNG I added while keeping the area behind it white (as if it went down and disappeared) ?.....I'm guessing it has to do with "masking" "duplicating tracks", is this even possible with Premiere... I'm super confused, HEEELP !
