NVidia Drivers - STILL NOT WORKING as of 5/11/2023 Premiere 2023..4.0 (Build 56) and NVIDIA v528.49

I know this has been a "known bug" for several months but it seems to still be an issue.

If the resolution is posted somewhere else, I could not find it.

 

Side note: these forums are difficult to search and limit posts by a specific issue and product.

 

This page is useless, but it is the "official known bug report" from Adobe:

This post attempted to get answers and suggested "Install the latest studio driver v 528.49" (which I did but it still does not work).  Now, for some reason the post was locked when a supposed "community expert" said it wasn't Adobe's fault (even though they admit that it is at the post above):

Nearly 10 months and it seems that there is still NO RESOLUTION...


I just waited nearly 30 minutes to render a 2 minute trailer because GPU rendering is not an option.

I also agree with the user - we are PAYING for this headache and Adobe is doing NOTHING to fix the problem.  (I would think if there was a known fix it should be on the "official" page above).

 

Adobe - can we PLEASE get a fix for this?
Yours is the ONLY product and I'm about to move all my stuff to Davinci simply because of this issue.

 

System Details:
Adobe Premiere v2023.4.0 (Build 56)
NVidia Studio Driver v528.49

Intel i9 CPU, 64 GB Ram, NVidia GeForce RTX 2070

    FIXED!!

     

    Update for all ...

    After posting the above, Ann Bens replied to "Try v531.61" which I was able to find at this site: https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx

     

    SUCCESS!  
    So far I was able to test playback in Adobe Premiere Pro with no black out issues (so far) and I was able to render a short clip in Adobe Media Encoder without crashes (so far).  I will keep editing and will try to update this post in a few days if there are no further issues.

     

    Adobe - perhaps you should update your "official" page with this suggestion and latest driver link for Nvidia v531.61.

    Quick Update - so far no crashes.  (Well the PC crashed but I think that was Windows related as I was just opening Premiere)

    Hi @Ann Bens , while I certainly agree, the problem is that many of us (including myself) HAD updated the NVIDIA drivers but that is what broke the software in the first place.  I'm not sure WHICH version of the driver/premiere combo caused the problem but I do know that there were multiple posts inviting users to revert to OLDER drivers instead of upgrading a few months ago.

    My frustration is that Adobe has done very little to communicate that this is a known problem and/or what the fix is...


    We all understand that you need to update from time to time, but if Adobe just said "this is fixed by updating NVIDIA to v531.61" everyone would be happy.  Instead we are left to forage around the forums and when you search for "NVIDIA CRASH" you get over 3000 results!

      Updating drivers is the user responsibility.
