NVIDIA GeForce 920M - Incompatible Video Driver/ Controlador del Vídeo Incompatible

Dear Community,

 

Every time I enter Adobe Premiere Pro it shows the following message:

 

 

I followed all the links suggested by ADOBE: they talk about the installation of the NVIDIA and INTEL drivers. I installed the latest versions of both, I updated my PC to the latest version of windows 10 and I still get the same message.

 

One of the Adobe Support links mentionned that there are different types of drivers: DHC or Standard. The page helps you to identify the one installed in your computer entering the control panel and then, ask you to enter to the next link to download the last drivers:

However, when I enter all the data required, Download Type > Studio Driver > Search (since I only need to use the design applications, I am not a gamer), it says that there is no driver to offer. When I changed it to a Game Ready Controller JUST TO TRY, I was offered a driver  I downloaded it, installed it, REBOOTTED the PC and still, I kept getting the same error.

 

At some point I read something  about CUDA 9.2 for Windows 10, saying that it is not a requirement to run Adobe video applications, it applies only "if you prefer graphics acceleration". Therefore, I understand that it does not serve my purpose.

I also tried uninstalling all the NVIDIA programs and reinstalled them, restarting each time.

 

Please, somebody give me a hand..

Cada vez que ingreso al Adobe Premiere Pro me salta la siguiente imágen:

 

Ingresé a todos los links habidos y por haber dónde hablan de la instalación de los controladores NVIDIA e INTEL, instalé las últimas versiones de ambas, actualicé mi PC a la última versión de windows 10 y me sigue saltando lo mismo.

Cuando ingreso al soporte de Adobe te explican que hay diferentes tipos de Driver: DHC o Estándar, te ayudan a identificar el que uno tiene instalado desde el panel de control y te piden que ingreses al siguiente URL para descargar los últimos controladores:

Sin embargo, cuando ingreso todos los datos que me piden y pongo en Tipo de Descarga > Controlador Estudio > Buscar (dado que sólo necesito usar las aplicaciones de diseño, no soy gamer), dice que no hay ningún controlador para ofrecer. Cuando lo cambié por Controlador Game Ready SÓLO PARA PROBAR, ahí sí me ofrecieron un controlador. Lo descargué, lo instalé, REINICIÉ LA PC y así todo, me siguió saltando el mismo error.

Les juro por dios que ya no sé con qué probar, en algún momento leí que se mencionaba el CUDA 9.2 para Windows 10, diciendo que no es un requisito para ejecutar las aplicaciones de vídeo de Adobe, aplica "si prefiere la aceleración de gráficos". Por lo tanto, entiendo que no sirve para mi propósito.

También probé desinstalando todos los programas de NVIDIA y los volví a instalar, reiniciando todas la veces.

 

Por favor les pido, que alguien me de una mano..

Lamento decirle esto, pero ese 920m ya está obsoleto. Nvidia había anunciado, en marzo del año pasado, el fin del soporte de todas las GPU móviles Kepler, incluida la suya, después de que Driver Branch 418 fuera lanzado. Eso significaba que las GPU móviles Kepler estaban bloqueadas permanentemente en la rama de controladores más antigua, mientras que las GPU más recientes se actualizan a las ramas de controladores más recientes que ahora ya no admiten su GPU en absoluto. Mientras tanto, Nvidia había actualizado la rama del controlador principal a la versión 430, luego a 436 y luego a 440 antes de que Adobe actualizara su Premiere Pro a la versión actual de 2020. Y ahora es política de Adobe exigir que un controlador no tenga más de dos ramas para ser compatible en absoluto (lo que, por desgracia, significaba que Driver Branch 430 es ahora el más antiguo que se admite en Premiere Pro 2020). Por lo tanto, debe revertir Premiere Pro a la versión 2019 (13.1.5) para seguir siendo compatible (mientras permanezca disponible, que finalizará en unos meses).

I'm sorry to tell you this, but that 920m is already obsolete. Nvidia had announced, in March last year, the end of support for all Kepler mobile GPUs, including yours, after Driver Branch 418 was released. That meant kepler mobile GPUs were permanently locked in the oldest driver branch, while newer GPUs are upgraded to the newer driver branches that now no longer support your GPU at all. Meanwhile, Nvidia had upgraded the main driver branch to version 430, then to 436, and then to 440 before Adobe upgraded its Premiere Pro to the current 2020 version. And now it's Adobe's policy to require a driver that's more than two branches old to be compatible at all (which unfortunately meant that Driver Branch 430 is now the oldest one supported in Premiere Pro 2020). Therefore, you must roll back Premiere Pro to version 2019 (13.1.5) to remain compatible (as long as it remains available, which will end in a few months).

    Estimado,

    Siguiendo su recomendación de volver a la versión 13.1.5 de Adobe Premiere.. ahora me aparece el siguiente mensaje:

    ¿Cómo continúo desde aquí? Sabiendo que no puedo actualizar a la versión más actual, como sugiere el mensaje, dada la obsolescencia de GeForce 920M.

    The driver that you have installed is way too old for Premiere Pro (all currently available versions). The driver for that GPU should have been at version 425.31. Unfortunately, you have a big-name-brand laptop that uses customized drivers for the GPU - and the customized drivers had not been updated by the laptop manufacturer at all in three years. Thus, getting even Nvidia's Game Ready drivers (both "standard" and "DCH") to install is very tricky: None of them will install cleanly or at all on top of the OEM-customized drivers.
