Nvidia recommends uninstalling the update on Windows 11.
Guys, the problem is much more serious than we were imagining, as it affects performance issues, crashes, and even black screens. Nvidia recommends uninstalling the Windows 11 update KB5074109 January 2026. In my tests here, it also affects the Studio driver. I didn't have black screens, but I have slowness in applications that demand use of the video card. Here is the article from the Windows Latest portal; other sites and portals are also reporting on it.

    I’m wondering what the bug is? It’s sorta like someone saying:

    ‘Take out your garden hose. The fire department recommends removing your garden hose from near the house as it may catch on fire!’

    I’m not having any issues here.

    @RjL190365,

    Curious about your take on this driver issue….

    Is there still a hardware forum?

    Edit: here it is:

    I posted this in the bug forum because several other portals and websites report a bug, even though it's a hardware issue. The problem is related to a bug caused by a Microsoft software update, not to hardware incompatibility or anything similar, but rather to a software bug. If the moderators see that it's not posted in the correct topic, feel free to move my post from the bug forum to the hardware forum. I only reported it here in the bug forum because it's a bug that affects our work with Adobe Premiere.

    @Victor5CD3,

    I think its fine here, particularly since the new forum has interrupted moderators being able to move posts. (I think that is still true; I am not a moderator.)

    The important thing is that you posted it to make us aware!
