Oh, Yes, I do think something in the meta-data could cause that - Alt-~ the  project panel (in list mode) and you can see the meta-data clearly.

Hey Mike, are you using a newish beta version. There's the new AI Media Search feature. It works pretty good out of the box. It's located on the top right of the PP screen. It would be interesting to see if that gets pulled up there also.
