Opacity issue

When I put a 0% keyframe under "Opacity", the clip just goes black. I've reinstalled the program and tried turning my computer off.

      Try unchecking Composite in linear color in the sequence settings.

      I want to be able to animate the opacity from 100% to 0%.

      Animation requires a minimum of two key frames. Set one key frame to 100%, move the timeline forward in time to where you want the opacity to turn to 0% and place a second key frame there, setting the opacity to 0%.

      Then play the timeline, it should fade away over the duration of time between the two key frames.
