Open Captions Disappearing/Malfunctioning after export

I've been using the 'new' Premiere captioning system and I think it's really good. However, recently I've been using some Open Caption and after I export a version of my timeline, that specific subtitle stops working. All the wording and timecodes are there on the captions window but it doesn't display anything on the timeline or it display 'Type caption text here'.

So far, the workaround is duplicating the subtitle and add it again to the timeline.

Another issue I have is, if I duplicate a caption that I already have created and then change the sentences and timings on the new subtitle, the original one either displays the new caption wording or displays 'Type caption text here'. Once again, everything on the captions window is working fine.
