Opening a project in Premiere Pro and nothing happens....

When I open a project in PP, my panels don't all load completely (using the editing window) and can't scroll with my mouse along the timeline or use any keyboard shortcuts.  Any ideas?

    Edit to add... I can play back the clips in the preview panel but my marker doesn't follow the timeline in the timeline panel.
