Order of files and folders in project panel wrong

Ok, so I need to organize my files like a regular person and have the folders highest up and then lower are all the other items like files and sequences. Now in the premiere 25.1 if i click the LABEL, to organize everything according to label, some items go ABOVE the folders. Doesn't matter which way the arrow is, folders are not the highest or lowest, they stay in between sequences and files. So I have to put everything in folders. At least sequences are lower than folders.

Does this bug anyone else? I lost many minutes trying to figure this out. Why would they change this?

Correct answer PaulMurphy

Sorting by label organizes items based on the label's RGB values. Since the default label colors have changed in recent versions, this can lead to items being sorted in a different order, with bins appearing lower than other items.

An easy workaround is to revert the label colors to the classic preset:

  1. Go to Settings > Labels.
  2. Change the Label Color Presets to Classic.

This should restore the previous sorting behavior.

I don't think they changed it. It is the same way in PR 25.0.0. And this thread suggests previously:

Cannot reproduce. Folders are at the top or at the bottom, depending on which way the arrow is pointing.
