Question

Out of memory error by exporting to HEVC/H265

Hello everyone,

I found an "out of memory" error (selector: 9, error code: 7) while exporting the timeline in Premiere to HEVC/h265. Because of the sort of content, I need to export the video with a target and maximum bitrate. This way there is less artifacts in the image. But to do this I need to render using software encoding. The resolution of the video is: 2828x5656px. Through some tests I found out if I would render the video in a smaller resolution, there will be no error. Also if I would render this resolution with hardware encoding there is also no error. So is this resolution an limitation to render the video using software encoding. If so, maybe someone can recommend a different method.

Hi Stefano,

Sorry about that. What you might try is exporting with a higher level and tier in a different profile. You can unlock all these with Software Encoding in the Video tab in the Export Settings dialog box. Please return with questions.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hi SALtvMPdz,

We're sorry about the poor experience. We're able to reproduce this issue. We will report this to the engineering team & will try our best to get this addressed as possible. Thanks for bringing this to our notice.

Hi,

I am having the same issue when trying exporting VR content with HEVC/H265. How can I do?
