Hi,

So I have this problem with flickering. When I look at a clip in VLC media player, there is no flickering. When I drag a clip in Premiere Pro it shows flickering. I have tried multiple sequence settings, but this gives no other outcome. When I encoded the clip, the result shows no flickering.

I film with a Canon XA40, with 1080P 35db, 50 fps.

My monitor is also 50 fps.

So in short, only when is view the video in Premiere Pro, it shows flickering.

It makes editing a clip quite hard.

I hope you guys could help me.

Thanks.

Hi Ishan,

I already found the problem.

I am working on windows 11, but when I downgraded to windows 10 the problem is solved.

The solution you suggested with switching the renderer I already tried, but didn't solve the problem.

Thank you for replying.

Regards,

Daniël

Hey Daniël24393022jiiq,

Sorry for the problem you’re experiencing. Could you share your system specifications? Would you be able to share the source file with us? we can investigate what might be going wrong. If you are on Windows, then please go to File > Project Settings > General and switch the Renderer from Mercury Playback Engine GPU Acceleration to Mercury Playback Engine Software Only and see if you are still experiencing the same problem.

Regards,

Ishan

Hey Daniël! Glad to hear that. You can also check if there's an update available for your GPU driver.

Thanks,
