Pasting Attributes

So I notice that if I drop a clip on the time line and make several edits. On my long form sometimes its

100s of edits. When I ad an effect onto a track it makes a list of attributes of that track in Effects controls

If I make an adjustment to one clip, 90% of the time I want that effect on all of the edits on the time line

ie. audio adjustments ect. But, when I copy a clip and paste attributes to my other 99 clips I WOULD LIKE IT TO REPLACE ATTRIBUTES NOT ADD TO THEM!

anyone else have this issue?

Remove the effect from all the clips first, then add.
