Pause/Play Button stops functioning while editing

I've had this bug for months now but it seems to have gotten suddenly worse and I'm not even sure what's triggering it. I'll be playing back a video while editing and then when I go to pause, the pause/play button suddenly doesn't work so the video will continue to play unless I close out and restart Premiere. This happened to me 3 times in less than 10 minutes today, which is the most frequently I've experienced this bug and it's very disruptive. Again, not sure what's causing it, it seems to happen randomly any time that I'm playing back a video while editing, but I'm seeing other people have the same issue with no responses yet so might as well make another post so it will hopefully be addressed.
