Hello, I have a very large project almost 2 hours of material including 5 audio tracks and color correction on clips, the problem is that Premiere every now and then crashes when I want to add for example adjustemnt layer on timeline then prgoram must think before it appears on timeline, or simply crashes. It also happens more than once at the preview playback. I also noticed that when I zoom in and out timeline about as if it lags, what could be the reason? I have 25 gb for the program although it takes only 20 max . I also add that I use ssd disks and clean up cache files .

My Pc
i5 10400f
32gb ram
gtx 1060 6gb (studio driver)

Please help, Thanks !

Hi @Dawix67.mxf,

I read your post with interest. I have a feeling that there could be a few potential bottlenecks here. The first thing I am curious about is your media. Which camera shot the media? If it isn't media from a camera, what is its origin? A mobile device? A video stream, like from a screen recording? Also, if so, have you tried transcoding H.264 media (especially if it has variable frame rates) before editing with it? What happens if you do not add adjustment layers and apply effects directly to the footage? Are you using many GPU accelerated effects? If so, which ones? These are the usual culprits when you have a somewhat under powered system for what you are trying to achieve. "a bridge too far," so to speak. In other words, more info would be helpful. Lastly, launching the app with the Shift key held down and resetting preferences/deleting media cache from the Reset Options dialog box can also help. Sorry for the assistance. I hope the community can assist.

Thanks,
Kevin

Are you using any third party plugins?

Nie używam go, mam kilka wtyczek, takich jak motion bro lub misterhorse, ale nie ma ich w projekcie.

2 hours can be huge depending on the format of your clips, for example it is not the same to work with 4K as with HD. You should also check if you have enough disk space for the disk cache to work correctly, perhaps you have connected that footage to an external disk, among other things.
Try to give more details that you think are important to try to figure out what might be going on.

The footage is 1080p H264, I have plenty of disk space,
As for the CACHE drive, I have a separate ssd drive on which I keep only the cache
