play back lags after exporting on premiere pro

Hi all

i recently bought a desktop to do some editing

ryzen 7 2700 3.7Ghz

DDR 16GB 3000Mhz

RTX 1660 TI MSI GPU 6GB

 

my 4k videos flimed by iphone X dont play well on premiere pro i have had to create proxies as cinema format and have had no issues.

 

since about a week ago i started to have this issue where everytime i export a project the video comes out really messed up like the acutal content keeps freezing and going back to the start of the video( this is after i have exported to 1080p youtube) and it seems like all the original clips i have worked on play in non chronological order. but when i check the sequence and play it again it plays fine. 

 

i have literally tried everything i could to fix the issue but it doesn't seem to go away. Is there anyone out there that has the same issue?

 

any help would be appreciated

Does everything include creating a new project and importing the old one into it?

Try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.

Hi Bob,

 

Thanks for your reply but none of the options above have resolved the issue.

 

i was convinced that this desktop would be a perfect fit for my need. Do you think i would need to add another 16GH ram?

premiere pro worked perfectly fine up until a week ago and now i can't do anything.

What is your hard drive setup (how many, what kind, what is on each, and how full)?
