Play button won't play preview video, everything else works as it normally would.

Question

When I try to play the video in the preview box, it won't actually start and play the preview. It seems like it should, but it won't. I can still see the frame it's on in the box, but it won't play. The play button will go from the triangle look to the box look and back when I click the mouse or the spacebar, but the video doesn't play. And it's the weekend, so I can't get on a call with technical support.

Does anyone know about this problem?

Can you give me a bit more info?  What are your computer/ clips spec.  Is it one clip or all the clips that wont play?  Do the play in the timeline?   If you can send me a project with a problem clip and the steps to recreate to the issue that will  help troubleshoot.
