Playback choppy when using Premiere for Stop Motion

Hi,

I'm trying to create a stop motion animation using Premiere, but playback is choppy. The photos are set to play back at 00:00:02 or 00:00:03. I noticed playback is fine when increasing the duration to 00:00:10.

I have a new MacBook Pro 15 inch with 32 gb ram and a Radeon 555x graphics card, so it should be powerful enough to make playback smooth.

I've tried switching around a bunch of different settings. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Lori

This might be a little bit late but I did manage to find a solution when I was doing my stop motion. My issue was because the the frame rate from the file was set at 5 fps. All I had to do was right click the file go to Modify -> Interpret Footage and then at the top it says "Use frame rate from file: 5fps". I clicked on "Assume this frame rate" and set it to 24 fps.
