Playback doesn't work during editing in premier pro - intermittent fault 2019

Hey everyone Getting pretty desperateMy playback doesn't work during editing - its intermittent fault and have tried everything mentioned in other threads - many of the threads dont match the latest version - ive got the latest version of premier pro on the latest mac OS MojaveThe strange thing is that it sometimes does work but mostly doesnt - i just cant edit as the hitting play doesnt cause the clip to play or needle to move.I have about 20 minutes of footage made up of 50 little clips sat waiting to be viewed and editted. - similar projects have worked fine on a lesser spec machinesuper greatful for any help

You need to give us more info. Clip and Sequence settings (frame rate, codec, pixel dimensions). Have you tried working with proxies?

do some searching here about deleting caches and preferences. May help. You might try and create a new user in system preferences in the apple menu: users and accounts. You might also try disconnecting all external devices and disconnect from the internet and pulling the ethernet cable... There's lots of troubleshooting steps to take. But hopefully there's enough info here to get you started. Please try these things in a systematic manner and record your results. Can't tell you how many times people skip a very obvious step...
