Playback lagging audio and sped up vudeo

For some reason any clip I import is sped up, and the audio is laggy and cuts out. Is there any solution to this?

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot the properties of your media in tree view:

If the file is variable frame rate, which although Adobe says it will support, many users are having issues with VFR.

Use Hand brake to convert to constant frame rate:

Can you tell us what is the source of your footage? Smart Phone? Professional camera?

this issue might be due to the variable frame rate.

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.
