Hello,

I am using Premiere 2020, 14.0.3.

My setup is a MacBookPro 2019 with OSX 10.14.6 with two extra cinema display and oredered as follow:

1 - Cinema dispaly

2 - Cinema display

3 - Laptop display

My project is split between the two cinema displays and the laptop display is used to playback a full screen program video.

Now the video playback through the laptop display stopped working. I've double checked the settings but nothing changed in my preferences, set as:

Preferences - Playback - √ Adobe monitor 2

I tried to reset those preferences, changed to other monitors, restarted my computer, switched off and on again, but it doesn't want to play back video on my laptop display an more.

Anything else I should check, please?

Many thanks.

Premiere gets cranky if the main UI for the program ... the window with all the menus ... isn't on the computer's primary monitor. Which is rarely the best monitor for viewing video imagery on anyway.

Especially with a laptop, doubly so with a Mac running a Retina monitor. That screen is not near to pro video color/management standards.

I just got it back undocking the program window and dragging onto the laptop display and it started to work again on full screen. The undocked program window is underneath. Then I could reset the workspace to have the program window docked again and all works as it should.
It doesn't make any sense but it did the trick.
