Playhead bug

Hi everyone,

I’m currently working on a large project in Premiere Pro Productions with a lot of material (mainly proxies, but very diverse sources, sequences, and project files). Recently I’ve started experiencing a strange issue:

• While editing, the playhead moves in the timeline, but the Program Monitor doesn’t refresh – the image stays frozen.

• This happens randomly, and sometimes it lasts for 5–10 minutes.

• During that time I can still move around the timeline, select clips, etc., but the viewer is stuck on a single frame.

• Eventually it comes back, but it’s very disruptive.

I’ve already tried:

• Keeping my proxies on fast drives.

• Lowering playback resolution.

• Closing unused project tabs within Productions.
