Playhead jumps back to last text edit

How can I stop this from happening?

The playhead jumps back to the last edited point in the transcript after hitting pause.
I have ruled out that:

No search functions are active.

Follow active monitor on or off does not help.

Spelling on or off does not help.

Auto-scrolling on or off does not help.

Hi @Blue-Marble ! Hm, that sounds frustrating. Would you be able to attach a short screen recording? I tried some things but could not repro so far.

It did that yesterday, but it doesn't anymore today after the machine shutdown. Today, it also kept on playing multiple times after 2 seconds of being paused with the spacebar. Then, it stopped on its own after an app restart where the text window actually said to restart. The auto-scrolling feature seems to be interfering with a lot and needs a lot of attention. Regularly without fail, after every edit and playing again, it starts the scroll from the very top of the text instead of where the playhead is.
