Position and scale snapping in Premiere Pro CC 2017

Hi,

In the "Effect Options" panel, I'm trying to turn off the "snapped" values that keep the position from moving until you slide your mouse too far. I would like the value to reflect the distance the mouse initially moves, and not when the program decides I have moved the mouse far enough to register a response.

Here's what happens : I go to grab the X position value with the mouse and drag sideways and it takes a bit of movement to get a response. Then, by that point I have good 200 pixels when I just want it to move 20.

Is there anyway to disable this "snapping" option?

Thanks,

if you are referring to scrubbing in smaller increments then add the Ctrl/Cmd key as you drag. Or it could be this notorious bug... When using click and drag to change values, nothing changes unless I move the mouse too quickly

Try unchecking this (Enhance pointer precision) - It works like AE (sweet) without this checked.

Update in 2024. This still isn't fixed on windows 10. I hate this snapping thing and it's incredibly annoying

I'm struggling with this problem, too. It's like I have to move the mouse far enough to "break" some imaginary snap before it'll move.

    Very weird!

It's not an option, just a bug that only some users experience.

    I'm one of them.

Thanks Roei I found the answer on the topic you linked.

The problem is that Windows is taking over Premiere when the click and drag occurs...
One (temporary) solution is to set pointer speed to abore average (7 here) and turn off Pointer precision enhancement.

Hope this will be fixed soon...

If you hold down shift while scrubbing you can get 10 pixels.

Holding down ctrl will give about 0.5 pixels
