Position info in parallel clips

Hi everybody,

I am working on a music video, for which dozens of people lipsynced the song. I want to use these clips now PARALLEL in Premiere /AE. Like, person A sings one line full frame, then this clips wanders to the upper left corner in quarter frame and the other 3 corners are filled by other 3 people singing. Then it's 12 people, then 36 etc up to 64 Clips running at the same time. Also, the clips change their position  so person A is first in the upper left  then jumps to the bottom right  then to the middle etc., plus the clips have to change from 16:9 to square for some moments.

How can I tell these about 1000 clips their position and zoom level?

As the clips run parallel, I can't use layers as they affect also the clips underneath. Neither do I want to write all the position data in 1000 clips by hand before even seeing if the idea works at all, including changing the position several times until the project is finished  Urgh.

Is there no solution in P/AE to apply changing position data to parallel clips? Like copy pasting a layer but into the clip? Or at least a possibility to copy the complete position data? In my version (full abo, I just updated) I can't do anything but copy single numbers, and then it's really a lot  faster to "copy" them them from a paper PostIt on my screen. And as soon as I want to try another position everything starts again.

I admit I thought this was easy coming from Vegas where it actually is, just dragging clips into the right track. But I can't imagine that this super common effect isn't possible in Adobe! Please help!

Thank you

Feline

You can copy a clip and then 'paste attributes' to another clip are several clips. This will copy over the position details (and if required any other effect)

    Please do not double post.

Locked the German post as most conversation is done in English.
