Question

Possible Workbar Sub-Timline?

Hello,

I film and edit seminars as part of my business.  There is usually 5 segments per day and up to 15 days.

So when i edit five different sections per day i put them in one sequence because if i made a sequence for each section it would be difficult to look at for me.

when i export a segment lets say Day 4  part 3 and send it to the client they view it in VLC player and when they send me back an edit...their timeline reporting starts at 0:00 until the end of the video BUT my time line for the edit  of Day 4 Part 3 might start at 4:38:05 and i always have to do math to find the approximate position of the edit.

IS there a way to make a sub timeline for the workbar area only?

Thanks,

Mark

Send the client a window dub.  In the Effects tab of the Export Settings, check the Timecode option.

    Thanks Jim!

Believe it or not She is listening to the tracks. It is important certain words or names are removed and the visual is harder to do that than just listening....thus why i was looking for a way to make the videos under the workbar each start with 0:00:00

    Cheers,

The same solution applies.  She needs to work with a Window Dub so she can see the timecode on screen.
