pp 2023 crash caused by a specific word

hi all, 

I'm experiencing a really weird crash/bug today. 

using the text tool to put type words directly into my sequence. every time i try to write the word 'orifice' (part of a longer set of subtitles) PP 2023 crashes. I also can't copy and paste the word into the text box, same crash happens. Weirdly, when I restart the project (last save, recovery mode also immediately crashes), my workspace is set to 'learning'. 

So weird right? 

Running Premiere Pro 2023 on a 2020 m1 mac mini. 

Thoughts?
