PP 24.0.0 Build 28: Program Monitor glitch displays incorrect cached frame for a few seconds

I thought PP 24.0.0 would be great. I'm immediately noticing that it doesn't properly display the correct frame on the Program Monitor. It displays another frame from the timeline for a few seconds which then creates a flickering of frames from time to time. It's not consistent. Sometimes, I just let the app rest and the glitch disappears for a short time. Until it needs to generate more cache frames again.

I'm on a Mac OS X 14.0

2019 Mac Pro

3.2GHz 16-Core Intel Xeon W

AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT 16GB

96 GB Memory

All my drives are SSD.

Hey raymondocampo,

I'm sorry to hear about this. I'm moving this thread to the Discussions section to collect more information. Could you share your source file properties (Project Panel > Right-click on source file > Properties)? Please also let us know the source of the file. Is it a screen recording? This information will help us better understand the problem.

Thanks,

Ishan

Hi @raymondocampo,

Have you tried deleting video preview files? Have you deleted media cache and reset preferences? Those things can help.

Was everything running smoothly under macOS Ventura? If so, you may want to revert to the previous OS. 2019 Mac Pros are a little bit different than other Macs as they have Xeon CPUs, not ARM or standard Intel processors. They might have certain issues other models don't have. Sorry for the weird issue. Let us know if any of this advice helps.

Thanks,

Kevin
