Question

PP CS2 can't export 4096 x any size. Exports anything smaller than 4096

I've been trying for days...  I am trying to export a series of stills at 4096x2304 and every time I try, I get a successful export, but then the video is nothing but black frames.  I can export at 4090x2300, 4000x2160,  3840x2160, or anthying less than a width or 4096- the maximum size allowed by PP CS2.  I am exporting as a .mov file using the PNG compressor without any filter.  IT doesn't seem to matter if I export audio or not, just doesn't let me export at 4096 pixels!  Help?

Dont think CS2 will go beyond 1920x1080.

It absolutely will.  The specs claim it will export up to 4096 pixels in either horizontal or vertical... But Not in my case.  If I go any less than 4096 x any less than 4096, I am able to export without a problem.  4094x2304?  No problem.  That's what is so strange about this.  I've tried pretty much all the codecs, other changes I can imagine would be responsible.  I've tried downgrading my video card driver, and upgrading it to the latest driver version as well.  No luck.

I bought another piece of software the other day because I have mostly given up on CS2 doing 4096x2304 exports (at least on my video card).  I've been using Adobe Premiere since before it was called Premiere Pro or CS.  Since non-CS version 7.  I still wouldn't mind solving this in CS2 because CS2 has everything I use and not much extra.. Err, should have everything I use according to the specs.  It may very well be my video card that is the problem, but honestly the other piece of software I bought might suit my needs better.  I like the option of using CS2 regardless.

OK, It has been a long time since I last used CS2.

Not all format/codec will support such resolution.

    Try H.264/mp4 or quicktime.

Try updating or rolling back your video driver.

Ok, thanks for the help but no luck.  I tried updating it first, then rolling it back - no changes...  I'm using Nvidia GEForce GT 730
