PP stays at %1 when exporting but if I force quit after a few minuets the video is fully exported

When exporting a video on my 2019 mackbook pro the time remaining bar goes to one percent and then stops. The exporting tab freezes but if I wait for a while and force quit PP the video will be fully exported on my desktop. I know I have my export settings right and I know its not a problem with processing power. PP is fully up to date. I don't know what to do.

    Have you tried exporting through Media Encoder? Not a full solution but at least it may prevent Premiere Pro from locking and allow you to continue to work.

    It's not unusual for the time remaining to stay at 1% for a while (maybe for what seems too long) at the end of an export. It is finalizing the video and other things.. I recommend being patient and let it complete its final tasks.
