Seems like there is there is problem with 24.3 Essential Graphics

I noticed that moving text layer while essential graphics panel on

will give you huge lag unless panel is turned off.
I haven't had this problem til lastest update?
I think it might have to do with font thumbnail?

that I have noticed it updated on this patch.
Well I did everthing I could.

I've reset workspace, delete cache~  all the things normal things you need to do in PPro for troubleshoot
I do have m.2 nvme, and renderer on Mercury ofc~ I have 4070 ti~ Ram is 64gb~
I have memory setting on 58gb on PPro
I even updated all the drivers.
I think I did everything that I could unless I'm missing something but somebody Helppp!

You might want to install the beta version 25.x. You can run it alongside the shipping version 24.6.1. Thus you can see if there has been some fix coming in the new release which is about 2 weeks away (likely). The beta version is available in Creative Cloud, and here is the forum: Premiere Beta

@MyerPj Yes, apparently so 😞
The problem appeared when i upgraded my processor/motherboard/ram (7900x3D). Also, didn't fix anything after a clean winodws install . The older v24.0 works fine since it uses a different mogrt layout in essential graphics panel.
So I'm really confused.

@Nishant321go , What version are you on? Same exact problem as the original post?

Hi kevin thank you for the reply! I tried to uninstall all the font I don't use and I use under 100 fonts now.
Well it wasn't actual test because it was already laggy when I formatted my pc.

Maybe it might be essential graphic panel or text panel error.
I gave up finding and troubleshoot.
but hope anyone finds the bug and fix it!~ thank you everyone~

HI @Pathopat
Sorry for the frustration. I've heard of such problems when a user has many fonts. What happens if you temporarily scale back the number of fonts in your Library as a test? Are you functioning as expected again? I sure hope so! Let us know, please.

Take Care,
Kevin

Try with track full with fonts with like 1000 fonts in your pc library

and try to push all the 70% of the text layer back for maybe 20 frame? frame doesnt matter it will give you huge lag.

  • The problem is that I work on same thing for past 3 years and it just happened.
