PPv22.6.2 Sony FS5 footage getting old school tape glitches

Hi. I've searched and I haven't seen this issue come up.

I'm temporarily on a late 2014 iMac, just waiting for my new Mac, after working on a old trashcan until just recently.

Processor: 4GHz Quad Core intel Core i7

Memory: 32 Gb 1600 MHz DDR3

Graphics: AMD Radeon R9 M295X 4GB

I'm on the latest version of Premiere Pro and I'm starting to have some issues with our Sony FS5 footage.  I'm getting an old school "tape" glitch in my footage. So strange. At first I thought maybe it was a fault with one of our cards, but I don't see it when reviewing the footage outside of PP. It exports out of PP with the glitch. After reading some forums and not finding the same issue, there were other FS5 footage issues with recommendations of going back to V22.4 of PP. I did that today and it's still glitching. I'm not sure if it's a computer processing issue or a premiere pro issue. My sony A7iii footage is behaving fine.

Has anyone run into this? Better yet, does anyone have tips to fix?  Thanks.

are these mxf files?  I've had a lot of problems recently on a very large documentary project with over 40tb of footage including 2 camera interviews and multicamera performances, etc...most of it shot with sony cameras.

2 solutions worked all the time..

First, right click on a clip and choose modify: interpret footage and at the bottom of the dialog if the color space is anything but rec 709,  choose color space override and set to rec709.    Pretty sure you can select multiple clips and batch this workflow...  And this fixed the same issue with proxies that I'd already made...

when this didn't work, I changed the file extension from .mxf to .mpg.  Ann Bens suggested this solution...  credit where credit is due...  Might be a good idea to duplicate your files before doing this just on general principles

Hey thanks! Yes, these are mxf files. I tried the first option with no success. So I'm going to try the second option over the weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.
