Precise trimming with numeric keys

Ever since the release of 14.7, in trim mode, you can no longer trim by numeric amounts entered with your keyboard's numeric keypad (full sized keyboard). I'm not interested in using the mouse, or the other keyboard methods of trimming by 1 or 5 frames. I enter specific frame amounts when I trim between two clips. Is this a bug, an error on my setup, or has this longstanding, edit standard method of trimming by specific frame amounds been removed?
