After the first installation, imported video files don't run. You can only here the sound an see a freeze frame. When you stop the video you see a freeze frame of the current time position, Under Windows 10 you can run the videos without problems. I tried different video files.

I hope you have so helping informatrions for me!

Regards

Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Are these HD or 4K files? Let us know.
Either way: given your underpowered system, you should look into the proxy workflow.

    Thanks,
    Kevin

vishuagg19yenaphe the playback quality was still low and the settings mercury playback engine software only - also. It doesn't work.

I have just found out: Change display mode from video to multicamera. Then the video is playing. But in the display mode video is still a freeze frame of the video.

I recommend editing with Cineform proxies for your media.  You will find performance noticeably improved, especially once effects come into play.

As vishuagg19 said, we need more information.

On top of what he said, could you also provide the hardware specifications of your computor, and the OS version ?

You need to provide more information related to the video you're importing in the premiere, also let us know the version of premiere pro.

You can try the following -

    • Lower the playback quality settings from the program window of premiere pro
    • If it does not work then try -  Changing the Video Renderer to Mercury Playback Engine software only under File > Project Settings > General. Delete previews after clicking on OK.
