Premier CC freezing with multiple tracks added

Hey guys,

I've been using premier to edit videos for over a month now and everything has been peachy. For some reason this week everything has changed. Whenever I add additional tracks (example: starting with webcam video and audio, then adding audio recorded from a better microphone) premier decides to freak out. I can no longer move the cursor on the sequence only in the preview window, all of the editing icons become greyed out, and anytime I try to cut/delete/any kind of edit it won't show up as completed until I press play. Any advice? Let me know if any clarification is needed. I'm rather frustrated...I just can't edit this way!
