Premier Pro (22.2.0) - Playback keeps freezing after pausing my timeline for more than 15 secs

Need urgent help with this. 

 

I'm running the lastest version of Premier Pro (v. 22.2.0) on both my Macbook Pro 2019 2.4ghz 8-Core i9 with 32GB RAM and my Macbook Pro 16GB Apple M1 Pro Chip. 

 

I'm doing fairly light edits for what both laptops should be capable of, however the playback keeps freezing on both machines after pausing the project's timeline for anything more than 15 secs. 

 

I've duplicated several versions of the project in hope for a change but it keeps happening. I've also reinstalled Premier, but still no luck. 

 

This is a really annoying bug as I keep having to force quit the program and start it up again.

Has anyone else been facing this issue? Is anyone here able to help me out with this problem?

    I just bought and received my new computer yesterday.  It has the most up to date Processor, 64GB of ram, 6gb video card, and guess what?  Premiere still freezes up when I am editing.  My only resolve was to set playback at 1/8.  I am getting ready to get rid of adobe premiere pro and switch to something else.  I run a business and cannot afford anymore freeze-ups.

    I have the same problem. I tried everything possible but I can't get it to work
