Premier Pro 23.5 glitches on Mac Studio
Hi there,
I'm editing a very small project using 4K footage but have hit a wall of glitches I don't know how to solve. Premier is currently unworkable, I originally thought an imported Lut might have caused a glitch but as I tried to resolve one issue, I realised the problem was bigger.
Glitches are:
- Zoomed in/cropped footage in a couple of shots loses all definition once rendered and ends up worse than the original clip. When that failed I tried sharpening the footage and rendering again. Same things happens. I was cropping footage like this in January this year and had no issues before.
- Premier fails to recognise the in and out points on a sequence and exports a whole timeline regardless of what's on it.
- When trying a workaround and copying the project on to a new sequence the quality of the original footage deteriorates badly.
- I've tried opening the project within another new project, using the beta version of premier, rolling back to an earlier version of Premier rather than using 23.5, deleting cache files, checking internet connection but the same issues occur.
Overall it's like Premier has zero memory of how to operate normally but I'm stumped on how to resolve it, which is really frustrating given the monthly fee and the fact it seems unusable. I'm on an entry level Mac Studio with 32GB of Ram, most of which I've made available for Premier. I maybe missing something obvious and I hope that's the case. If anyone has any ideas about what the problem is I'd really appreciate it!
