Premier Pro beta 24.1 crashing, but I can't open project in full release Premier Pro 2024

Premier Pro beta 24.1 crashing, but I can't open project in full release Premier Pro 2024.  Finishing the last bit of a long edit (of course) and I can't open any of the autosaves in the real Premier Pro 2024.  Is there a way to convert the project file to something that can open in the real release version?

Did you try importing the 24.1 into a new project in 24.0?

Yes-- and it wouldn't open.  I ended up finding a site that could downgrade the project to an earlier version of premier, then opened it in 23 and continued editing from there.  I've just been staying in 23 for my last few projects because I don't want that to happen again.  I feel like the crashing had something to do with using the new auto audio cleaning functionality, but I can't be certain.  I have no explanation for the extremely laggy and slow overall performance that made it kind of unusable though.

Hi there!

Sorry about the crash. Are you getting any error codes or messages when importing the project in Premiere Pro 2024? Does it happen with a specific project? If so, which version did you use to create a project?

Let us know.

Thanks,

KR

It just says it cant be opened because it was created in a newer version of premier (24.1 beta)

Try this on a COPY of the 24.1 project. YMMV. Make same folder as the original, backup everything:
