About 50% of the time when I drag an audio clip into my timeline a get the premiere pro debug event error. specifically it is "..\..\src\searchboxcontrol.cpp-183" .Does anyone have any ideas how to sort this? I cant find any record of this issue online. any help would be hugely appreciated!

    Premiere pro CC 2017,

    Windows 10 pro version 1607

The audio files are simple .mp3 files

    Hardware is:

    Geforce Titanx

    i75960x

    and 64gb of hyperx ram

I was also getting a debug event at windows startup with something being out of a specified range. The windows hit me with an update and now I no longer have that debug event. I havent had a chance to try in premiere again but I am wondering if the 2 events were related and that update may have fixed it. Any input is still appreciated!

    -Cheers

I recommend not using .mp3 files.  Use Audition to convert them to .wav files for editing.
