Question

Premier Pro not recognizing the second speaker

Hi,

I am having two problems with premier pro transcription: 1) it doesn’t recognize the 2nd speaker 2) I can’t indicate who is speaking.

I haven’t encountered this problem before but this time I’ve stacked the two tracks on top of each other in order to get a two shot wide video.

Can anyone help?

M

    I can’t see the third Audio track. Is each speaker in their own audio track? It shows captions, but I don’t actually see captions in the timeline.

    Did you transcribe the sequence or did you transcribe the source clips?

    @Miranda319349362e1h,

    A screenshot would help.

    Hi Miranda319349362e1h,

    Which version of Premiere are you using? Is this happening with the transcription of any specific clip or all of them?

    Thanks,
    Sumeet

    It was edited on an older version but I just updated to the 2006 version (26.02). It’s happening with any sequence where I have to stack (for lack of a better word) the tracks in order to get the two people  side by side. I’ve included a screen shot. I’m trying to edit a podcast video
