Premier Pro (PP) exporting to Encore not working
I have been using PP 2017 & Encore for many years to produce DVD's. I typically have 2 to 4 cameras taking the video and then produce multi cam sequences. I then export both regular DVD's using the Codec MPEG2-DVD producing a ".m2v" file. For the Blu-ray I use the H.264 Blu-ray producing a ".m4v" file. I then import these files into Encore and add additional content, make menus and then produce an .iso file & then burn a DVD for both versions.
I recently had 2 major projects where I had to do the above and produce both versions of the DVD's. I was able to complete the first project without any issues. For the 2nd project I was able to produce my regular multicam sequence for the regular DVD. I exported the .m2v file. While I was working on the Blu-ray I ran into problems in PP where I could not move my sequence in the timeline, when I trimmed it or tried to add any additional clips into the timeline. I actually submitted that problem in the forum in late March. After a lot of trials I used the Adobe Clean Tool and cleaned my Adobe Apps, which actually removes them. I reinstalled PP & Encore (CS6) from CC. I was then able to use PP and managed to produce my video and export the Blu-ray version. I then imported my .m2v (from PP 2017) file into Encore and was able to finish the project and build the .iso file and burn a regular DVD. When I tried to import my Blu-Ray file (from PP 2019) into Encore, I received the error message saying it was produced in a later version and could not import the file. After some digging discovered the newer versions of PP are no longer compatible with Encore. One of the suggestions in that earlier Forum also mentioned to download the plug-in "TMPGEnc Movie plug in for Premiere Pro" as the Codecs were supposedly better. So I did that also. After encoding the Blu-Ray file again (2+ hours later), it still would not work.
I then downloaded PP 2017 hoping to solve my problems. When I imported my video files into PP 2017, I have 3 different file types. My main video file is from a Sony camera and is a ".m2ts" file, I also have .mts files and .mov files. I received a message on importing the .m2ts that said "Dolby codec must be installed to use this feature. Clicking OK will install and enable this codec for immediate use." When I tried to produce a multi cam sequence, the files would not sync with Audio. The Audio option was greyed out. I'm assuming this was an issue with the plug-in so I uninstalled it. Still no help. I have been going around and around for 2 weeks now trying to produce an Blu-day and can't. I don't know if this is an issue with PP or Encore, but I do know I can't sync my video files now in 2PP 2017. When I use PP 2019 I can sync the files (don't get the Dolby message), but can't get into Encore to finish up the project.
I have missed my project timeline for the second project and had to cancel about 30 Blu-ray DVD's and only provide regular DVD's. I have another project coming up next week and hopefully I can get this issue resolved.
